The Skyridge Falcons will square off against the Layton Lancers at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Skyridge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.6 runs per game this season.
Skyridge picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They put the hurt on East with a sharp 16-2 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

Murphy Dunn looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Miles Robinson, who went 2-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Rip Roberts was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-4.
Skyridge was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .478. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East only posted a batting average of .100.
Meanwhile, Layton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 9-2 to Bingham.
Layton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Fish Manning, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.
Skyridge's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Layton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
Layton's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Skyridge has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.6 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Layton, though, as they've been averaging only 3.3 strikeouts. Will Skyridge keep running through batters, or will Layton buck the trend?
Skyridge came out on top in a nail-biter against Layton when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 5-3. Does Skyridge have another victory up their sleeve, or will Layton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
