The Cypress Centurions entered their tilt with the Crean Lutheran Saints with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Cypress managed a 30-24 victory over Crean Lutheran on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Cypress also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.
Cypress' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aidan Houston, who rushed for 87 yards, and also threw for 166 yards and a touchdown. Michael Hubbard also helped out with an impressive 82 receiving yards.
Daylin Caamano and Justin Dominguez certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Caamano picked up 95 receiving yards and a touchdown, while Dominguez rushed for 67 yards and a touchdown.
Cypress' win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Crean Lutheran, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-3.
Cypress will head out on the road to face off against Tustin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tustin will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line. As for Crean Lutheran, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Kennedy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kennedy will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each match than the last.
