Baseball Recap: Chaminade Has No Trouble Against Mineola

Chaminade had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Mineola on Friday. Chaminade blew past Mineola 11-3. The Flyers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Luke Bartolo looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits.

At the plate, Noah Kim was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. TJ Bradford was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Chaminade kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive matchups.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-3.

Coming up, Chaminade will square off against Seaford at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Mineola, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Wantagh at 5:00 p.m. This will be Mineola's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
