Hyannis didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Ian Anderson, Dom Boppree, and Cayden Sheets picked up one apiece. Sandhills/Thedford's win came from a few key players Hyannis will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Maurice Robinson, who rushed for 71 yards and one score, and also threw for 91 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making five total tackles in addition to snagging an interception. One reason for the win was Sandhills/Thedford's imposing defensive line, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Robinson, Andrew Byrd, and Peyton Saner, who each picked up one sack apiece.
Sandhills/Thedford's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Hyannis, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.
