North Florida Christian is 2-8 against Florida State University High School since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Tuesday. The Eagles will head out on the road to  square off against  the Seminoles  at 6:00  p.m. North Florida Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.5  runs per game  this season.
North Florida Christian was handed a heart-breaking two-run  defeat in their last  match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Hamilton County  on Friday. The Eagles' pitcher stepped up to hand the Trojans  a   16-0 shutout. The Eagles have beaten the Trojans the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Trojans has come to flipping the script.

 Hayden Stone made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-2.
 In other batting news,  Brynlee Pafford was  excellent,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Reese Sparkman, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.
 North Florida Christian was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .391. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hamilton County only posted a  batting average of  .100.
Meanwhile, Florida State University High School came into Thursday's   game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They skirted past St. John Paul II  3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win the Seminoles have posted  since April 5, 2024.
 Shyla Wiley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a  run (which was  unearned)  on three hits and racked up 15 Ks. With that strong performance,  she is now averaging an impressive 5.5  strikeouts per game.
 At the plate, Florida State University High School's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Avery Presnell, who  went 1-for-2 with one  triple and one  RBI.
 North Florida Christian's record now sits at 8-4. As for Florida State University High School, their record is now 7-5.
