The Portal Panthers had already won 12 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32.8 points), and they went ahead and made it 13 on Friday. They blew past Jenkins County 70-42 at home. Portal has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matchups by 20 points or more this season.
Portal's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brian McQueen led the charge by scoring 15 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Coleman, who scored 15 points along with five assists and three steals.
Portal pushed their record up to 24-1 with that win, which was their 26th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.7 points per game. As for Jenkins County, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-6.
