The Maine East Blue Demons lost against the Maine West Warriors back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Maine East fell to Maine West 40-36.
Despite the loss, Maine East had strong showings from Arabella Silva, who scored 14 points, and Mariah Scott, who scored 15 points along with 3 steals. The match was Silva's eighth in a row with at least ten points.
Maine East's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Maine West, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Maine East is on the road again on Thursday and play against Addison Trail at 6:00 p.m. on December 14th. As for Maine West, they will take on Highland Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
