The Belle Plaine Dragons were the 43-30 winner over the Classical Saints when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Belle Plaine took a 41-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of Classical on Tuesday. Belle Plaine has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Classical got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Flannery Black out in front who scored 17 points along with 7 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Nevi Wilkey, who scored 7 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals.
Belle Plaine's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Classical, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Belle Plaine will be playing in front of their home fans against Ell-Saline on December 14th. As for Classical, they will head out on the road to face off against Remington at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
