Asheboro Hybrid Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-11.
Asheboro Hybrid Academy's loss came despite strong showings from McKenna Voncannon and Kayden Mabe. Voncannon scored eight points along with two steals, while Mabe scored two points.
Asheboro Hybrid Academy struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as South Guilford HomeSchool racked up 13 assists.
Leading South Guilford HomeSchool to victory were Kassidy Bullins and Kourtney Bullins. Bullins dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds, while Bullins scored 20 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Bullins hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Sadie Harrell, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Asheboro Hybrid Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for South Guilford HomeSchool, they pushed their record up to 19-5 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Asheboro Hybrid Academy will take on Vandalia Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Guilford HomeSchool, they will head out on the road to challenge Sheets Memorial Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Sheets Memorial Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 578th, while South Guilford HomeSchool is ranked 153rd).
