Meanwhile, James Irwin strolled past Thomas MacLaren School with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 52-37. The win made it back-to-back wins for James Irwin.
Roman Burnside was the offensive standout of the contest as he dropped a double-double on 13 points and 16 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Werner , who scored 9 points along with 7 rebounds.
DSST: Montview's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for James Irwin, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
Everything came up roses for DSST: Montview against James Irwin when the teams last played back in December of 2022 as the team secured a 89-40 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for DSST: Montview since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
