West Point has gone 7-1 against Colonial Beach recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Pointers will host the Drifters at 5:00 p.m. West Point is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.
West Point took a loss when they played away from home back in March, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They never let King & Queen Central get on the board and left with a 17-0 win. The Pointers haven't had any issues with the Royal Tigers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

West Point got a great performance from Terrah Henrich as she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Henrich has posted since back in April of 2024.
At the plate, Delaney White was a standout: she scored four runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024. Haley Spradlin was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
West Point hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Colonial Beach was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 19-2 to Fredericksburg Christian.
Colonial Beach saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Miranda Papanicolas, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Papanicolas hit this season.
West Point pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Colonial Beach, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
Friday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. West Point has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .524. However, it's not like Colonial Beach struggles in that department as they've averaged .497. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
