Basketball Recap: Stonewall Extends Winning Streak to Four

Stonewall came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Stratford Bulldogs by a score of 54-46. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 61-52 last Saturday.

Stratford's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Karsen Nail, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave Nail a new career-high in points. Oliver Smithwick was another key player, going 5 of 12 on his way to 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Stonewall pushed their record up to 6-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Stratford, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stonewall will host Mill Creek at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Stratford, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Allen at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
