Morton dropped their record down to 18-7 on Monday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the East Peoria Raiders by a score of 1-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Potters were not able to get on the board.

As for East Peoria, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games.

For East Peoria's part, not much got past R.J. Duncheon, who gave up just three hits and racked up 16 Ks to keep Morton off the board. Duncheon has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, East Peoria secured the victory behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Roman Moody, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

While Morton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
