The Mascoutah Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 51-38 to Jersey. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Mascoutah of the 58-43 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.
Jersey's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tessa Crawford led the charge by scoring 22 points along with four steals. Crawford hasn't dropped below 19 points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Casey Kallal, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Mascoutah has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-20 record this season. As for Jersey, they have been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 16 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-11 record this season.
Mascoutah will head out on the road to face off against the Terriers at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Jersey, they will be playing at home against the Kahoks at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Collinsville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Saturday.
