After two games on the road, Fountain Inn is heading back home. Having just played yesterday, they will get right back to it and host the Palmetto Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. Hopefully Fountain Inn is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Palmetto in South Carolina (Fountain Inn is ranked 77th, while Palmetto is ranked 231st).
Even though Easley scored an imposing 60 points on Monday, Fountain Inn still came out on top. Fountain Inn walked away with a 71-60 victory over Easley.
Meanwhile, Palmetto's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. Their rough 72-47 loss to Wren might stick with them for a while. Palmetto was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-23.
Fountain Inn's win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Palmetto, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost 12 of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season.
Fountain Inn came out on top in a nail-biter against Palmetto when the teams last played back in February of 2023, sneaking past 46-43. Does Fountain Inn have another victory up their sleeve, or will Palmetto turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
