After a string of three wins, Westview's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Adelanto Saints by a score of 51-49. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 618th, while the Saints are ranked 160th).

Westview's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Adelanto, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Westview won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Oceanside at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Adelanto, they will square off against North at 3:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
