The Milton Eagles stacked a 15th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. Everything went their way against Lambert as Milton made off with a 57-37 win. Winning may never get old, but Milton sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Milton was led to victory by Nya Smith and Londyn Walker. Smith dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds, while Walker almost dropped a triple-double on 17 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists. Smith is absolutely dominating the point category: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. Caroline Young was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with eight rebounds.
Milton pushed their record up to 17-2 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Lambert, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Milton won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Alpharetta at 2:30 p.m. on January 27th. Alpharetta will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 421st, while Milton is ranked 24th). As for Lambert, they will head out on the road to face off against South Forsyth at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
