The Claiborne Christian Crusaders will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Gibsland-Coleman Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. Claiborne Christian is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
In what's become a running theme this season, Claiborne Christian gave their fans yet another huge victory last Monday. Everything went their way against Saline as Claiborne Christian made off with a 49-26 win. Given Claiborne Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Bobcats are ranked 230th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Gibsland-Coleman scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Family Community Christian 72-44 on the road. The win made it back-to-back wins for Gibsland-Coleman.
Gibsland-Coleman can attribute much of their success to Baleigh Haulcy, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds, and Samora Sampson, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sampson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Shamaria Durham, who scored six points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Claiborne Christian's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 27-0. As for Gibsland-Coleman, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-12 record this season.
Claiborne Christian was dealt a bruising 65-29 defeat at the hands of the Bulldogs in their previous meeting back in February of 2023.
