On Thursday, the DC International Dragons faced the Washington Latin Public Charter School Lions in a battle between two of the state's top teams. DC International breezed by the Lions on the road to the tune of 52-16. Winning may never get old, but DC International sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
It was another big night for Kai Davis, who almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last six games she's played. Camille Larsen-Humphreys was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals.
DC International is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for Washington Latin Public Charter School, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.
DC International will head out on the road to face off against the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in District of Columbia (KIPP DC Legacy College Prep is ranked 18th, while the Dragons are ranked sixth). As for Washington Latin Public Charter School, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
