Park City has won eight straight games at home, while Bear River has won eight straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Miners will host the Bears at 3:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Bear River's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Thursday: Park City hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Miners didn't even let Hillcrest on the board on Wednesday, marking the Miners' second-straight 11-0 shutout. The Miners haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Wesley Dewitt made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
In other pitching news, Brooks Baganz looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

Back at the plate, Park City got a massive performance out of Justin Michaelis, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs Michaelis has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Colton Schmidt, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Park City kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in eight consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Bear River got the win against Sky View on Wednesday by a conclusive 12-2.
Like Park City, Bear River also got a great game from a two-way player: Holden Potter. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over six innings pitched. Potter also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Bear River is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-7 otherwise. Potter was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Dallin Rice was a standout: he scored two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Jackson Barfuss, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Bear River is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Park City, their victory bumped their record up to 16-3.
Both Park City and Bear River just can't seem to miss. The Miners have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.3 hits per game. However, it's not like Bear River struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.6 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Park City couldn't quite finish off Bear River in their previous meeting back in May of 2019 and fell 8-6. Will the Miners have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
