After a string of 20 wins, North Summit's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 58-57 to the South Sevier Rams. The Braves were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rams earlier this season, when they won 48-42.
Despite the loss, North Summit still got an impressive performance from Hayzlyn Murdock, who shot 58% from the field to rack up 29 points and eight rebounds. The match was Murdock's third in a row with at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hartlynn Richins, who went 6-for-12 on her way to 15 points.
South Sevier's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kinley Jenson, who shot 53% from the field en route to 17 points and seven boards. The defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 25-2. As for South Sevier, the victory (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 24-3.
