The Hasbrouck Heights Aviators were the 61-38 winner over the New Milford Knights when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Hasbrouck Heights fell 59-50 to New Milford on Friday.
It was another big night for Luis Placido, who scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and six assists for New Milford. Placido hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Amaurys Beato was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Hasbrouck Heights has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. As for New Milford, they pushed their record up to 15-5 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home.
Hasbrouck Heights will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Garfield on February 6th. Garfield has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for New Milford, they will square off against Cresskill at TBD on Tuesday. Hopefully New Milford focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Friday.
