The Turlock Bulldogs lost to the Gregori Jaguars back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. Turlock took down Gregori 63-45. Turlock pushed the score to 50-30 by the end of the third, a deficit Gregori cut but never quite recovered from.
Turlock's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dutch Lawrence, who scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Evans, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds.
Despite the defeat, Gregori saw an underclassman step up: Jayson Powers scored 19 points along with two steals and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus Sims, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Turlock now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Gregori, they now have a losing record at 12-13.
Turlock's road trip will continue as they head out to face Pitman at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Pitman knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully Turlock likes a good challenge. As for Gregori, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Enochs at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Hopefully Gregori focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Wednesday.
