The Orange Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They breezed by Western Alamance at home to the tune of 81-42. The win was a breath of fresh air for Orange as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Orange found their leader in underclassman Coleman Cloer, who scored 30 points along with eight rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Cloer has scored at least 25% of Orange's points. Another player making a difference was Ryan Honeycutt, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
Western Alamance's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Christian Hester , who scored six points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hamilton Plunkett , who scored six points.
Orange's victory bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Western Alamance, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.
Orange will be playing at home against Williams at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Williams focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday. Western Alamance's road trip will continue as they head out to face Eastern Alamance at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th. Eastern Alamance has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 541 points over their last seven games.
