The Redmond Panthers will play host again  on Friday to welcome the Bend Lava Bears, where kickoff is scheduled  at 7:00  p.m. Both  are strolling into their  matchups after big wins in their previous games.

 Redmond's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged three passes before it was all said and done. It was truly a group effort as  Jayden Thynes,  Ethan Powell,  and  JJ Browning picked up one apiece.
 Meanwhile, Bend put another one in the bag  last Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Mazama, posting  a  35-7 win on the road. With the Lava Bears ahead  21-0 at the half, the  game was all but over already.
 The  victory  got Redmond back to even at 2-2. As for Bend, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.
 Things could have been worse for Redmond, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took  a  19-3 loss to Bend in their previous meeting  back in September of 2023.
