Jacob Gibson of San Juan Hills ran for the longest rushing play in Sea View this season against Dos Pueblos last week. Gibson ran for 65 yards on the play and finished with 42 on the day as his team defeated the Chargers.
San Juan Hills extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Dos Pueblos, 27-14. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Aliso Niguel's dynamic duo of Nathan Cole and Brenden Mitchum proved tough for Woodbridge to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Cole threw for 491 yards and seven touchdowns and Mitchum had 195 yards receiving. Anthony Ventura helped Aliso Niguel's passing attack out by catching eight balls for 95 yards.
Marcus Hughes was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 22 carries, he ran for 101 yards as Dana Hills beat the Warriors. Mac Vail also contributed to the rushing game with 20 yards on the ground.
6-foot-4 quarterback Cole of Aliso Niguel is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1925. He has also thrown 27 touchdowns. On the ground, the Dolphins' Hughes has rushed for 438 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Kyle Mucerino. The San Juan Hills star has 34 catches for 605 yards.
Going into this week's game against Dana Hills, Kurt Westing's team's Cole needs 75 passing yards to surpass 2,000 on the season.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Stallions take on Laguna Hills. San Juan Hills is in first place, while the Hawks are in fourth place.
