The West Boca Raton Bulls will head out on the road to challenge the Saint Andrew's Scots at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Boca Raton comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
West Boca Raton is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against NSU University on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. West Boca Raton lost 60-39 to NSU University. While losing is never fun, the Bulls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 497th, while the Sharks are ranked 138th).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Sophia Krefsky, who went 8 for 14 on her way to 16 points. That was a full 41% of West Boca Raton's points, marking the seventh time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Jules Etue, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.
Even though they lost, West Boca Raton was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Saint Andrew's has relied on a stalwart defense averaging 26.5 points allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They took a hard 58-40 fall against Westminster Academy. The Scots haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Like West Boca Raton, Saint Andrew's lost despite seeing results from several players. Gabby Fulton led the charge by putting up nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Smith, who had nine points.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: West Boca Raton has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 23.3 boards per game. However, it's not like Saint Andrew's struggles in that department as they've been averaging 27.8 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
West Boca Raton took a serious blow against Saint Andrew's in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 60-19. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Saint Andrew's Delaney Beighley, who went 8 of 13 en route to 17 points.
