Baseball Recap: Overton Gets the Win

Overton posted their closest victory since April 30, 2025 on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over the Liberty-Benton Eagles.

Braden Hulse was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Lombard, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.

Overton's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Liberty-Benton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Coming up, Overton will be playing at home against Greenbrier at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Liberty-Benton has already played their next game (against Lakota East), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
