Olivia Spenner posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. She struck out 12 batters over five innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best she's had all season long. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

Spenner's strong effort led Berrien Springs over River Valley and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
