Canby came tearing into Friday's matchup with 11 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts Mustangs 15-0. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by six runs or more this season.

Taylor Saucedo was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Madi Vissers, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Abigail Troutman, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Canby always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .607. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts only posted an OBP of .100.

Canby's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-6. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts, their loss dropped their record down to 6-16.

Coming up, Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts will challenge Putnam at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Canby will be paying especially close attention to the Mustangs' contest: after the Mustangs face off against the Kingsmen, they'll take on Canby again at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
