Cardinal Mooney added to the longest winning streak in 3A District 6 this week by beating Bishop Verot, 35-10. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Cardinal Mooney made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 2,591 from 2,758. The advance stemmed from a 35-10 victory over the Vikings last week.
Bishop Verot's Quinn Farrell and CJ Spiro led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-2 quarterback Farrell has thrown for 1,030 yards this season, while Spiro has 19 catches for 479 yards. Joshua Smithers' team's Demardre Patterson leads the league in rushing yards with 1,135.
