There's no place like home for the Carroll Tigers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Thursday. They blew past Roma 60-23 at home. Given Carroll's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 59th, while Roma is ranked 1278th), the result on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Braedon Gomez continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 13 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Boston Hills, who scored 11 points along with 8 rebounds.
Carroll has yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 6-1 record. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.5 points per game. As for Roma, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Carroll will head out on the road to face off against St. Stephen's Episcopal at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Roma, they will take on Pearsall at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Pearsall is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
