Several Hot Dogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lucas Waggoner, who went 6 of 14 en route to 20 points. Those 20 points gave Waggoner a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Michael, who posted 16 points and five assists.
Western Boone's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 3-9. As for Frankfort, they dropped their record down to 1-12 with the defeat, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Western Boone will be playing in front of their home fans against Faith Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Frankfort, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 78-63 loss against Rossville on the 18th.
