It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Mater Academy Charter Lions had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They strolled past the Rams with points to spare, taking the game 64-47. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Mater Academy Charter also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Solomon Leinbock continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points along with five assists and three steals. Sebastian Tello was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Mater Academy Charter has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. As for Coral Park, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-11.
Mater Academy Charter will square off against Southridge at TBD on Thursday. Southridge presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Mater Academy Charter in Florida (Southridge is ranked 127th, while Mater Academy Charter is ranked 288th). Coral Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
