St. Helena is 8-1 against Cloverdale since November of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The St. Helena Saints will head out on the road to face off against the Cloverdale Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.
Last Friday, St. Helena took a serious blow against Clear Lake, falling 53-6. While losing is never fun, St. Helena can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 553rd, while Clear Lake is ranked 238th).
Meanwhile, Cloverdale fell victim to Middletown's stalwart defense on Thursday and couldn't make it onto the board. They had to suffer through a rough 42-0 loss at the hands of the Mustangs. Cloverdale has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The losses dropped St. Helena to 4-3 and Cloverdale to 1-6.
St. Helena came up short against Cloverdale in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, falling 44-36. Can St. Helena avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
