Baseball Recap: Kellam Has No Trouble Against Bayside

Kellam won against Salem last Thursday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Knights were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Bayside Marlins. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won four contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Kellam's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-4. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Bayside, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Kellam will challenge Hedgesville at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bayside, they will head out on the road to challenge Green Run at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Stallions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.14 runs per game on average), something the Marlins will no doubt try to take advantage of.
