Basketball Recap: Delphi Community Skates Past Taylor with Ease

After only 21 points in their last matchup, Delphi Community made sure to put some points up on the board against Taylor on Friday. The Delphi Community Oracles simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Taylor Titans 63-30. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Oracles also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Delphi Community's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Payton Morrow, who went 8 for 15 on her way to 18 points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance gave Morrow a new career-high in points. Jenna Roth was another key player, putting up 16 points and eight rebounds.

Delphi Community was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Taylor only posted six assists.

Despite the loss, Taylor still got an impressive performance from Jallainah Harris, who posted 19 points. That was a full 63.3% of Taylor's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points.

Delphi Community moved to 5-7 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Taylor, they dropped their record down to 2-11 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.

Delphi Community didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-45 win against North Montgomery on the 30th. As for Taylor, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 57-35 defeat against Pioneer on the 30th.
