The Johns Creek Gladiators's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight defeat. They took a 42-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lassiter. While losing is never fun, Johns Creek can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 263rd, while the Trojans are ranked 42nd).
Lassiter had a senior duo take command as Jaden Emmanuelli scored 14 points along with four steals and Kyhir Torrence scored ten points along with five rebounds. Aidyn Davis was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six rebounds.
Johns Creek's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Lassiter, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.
Johns Creek will head out on the road to take on the Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Alpharetta and the Gladiators are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Lassiter, they will be playing at home against the Yellow Jackets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Sprayberry will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
