It was a good run, but Lincoln-Way East unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Benet Academy Redwings. The Griffins were not able to make up for their defeat to the Redwings from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-14.

Lincoln-Way East's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Benet Academy, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lincoln-Way East will welcome Downers Grove North at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Benet Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Metea Valley at 5:30 p.m.
