Baseball Recap: Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy Triumphs

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Monday as neither Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy nor John Carroll Catholic made it on the board until the seventh inning. The Tigers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Rams. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 10-3 loss the last time these two teams met.

Greyson Hammond tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-3 otherwise.

At the plate, Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Nunes, who went 1-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

The win got Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy back to even at 4-4. As for John Carroll Catholic, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy will face off against Satellite at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for John Carroll Catholic, they will square off against Okeechobee at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
