After two weeks on the road, KIPP Collegiate is heading back home. On Thursday they take on Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering at at Booker T Washington at 7:00 PM. KIPP Collegiate come in off of four low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the squad is obviously eager to reverse.
KIPP Collegiate didn't finish too far behind, but the team still lost 8-12 to Hillcrest last Thursday.
Meanwhile, Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They blew past Middle College 33-6. Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering's victory lifted them to 4-2 while KIPP Collegiate's loss dropped them down to 2-4. Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a KIPP Collegiate defensive front that amassed seven sacks against Hillcrest, so we'll see if they are up to the task.
