The Tumwater Thunderbirds will head out on the road to challenge the Hockinson Hawks at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Tumwater pushed their score all the way to 56 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Ridgefield by a score of 59-56.
The losing side was boosted by Clay Morgan, who scored 29 points along with six rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Bryce Morgan was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Meanwhile, Hockinson pushed their score all the way to 58 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. Their rough 80-58 loss to Mark Morris might stick with them for a while. Hockinson has not had much luck with Mark Morris recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Tumwater's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-8. As for Hockinson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season.
Tumwater beat Hockinson 61-49 in their previous meeting back in December of 2019. Does Tumwater have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hockinson turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
