The St. Joseph Central Flyers are taking a road trip to face off against the Green Bobcats at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. St. Joseph Central has given up an average of 8.8 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
St. Joseph Central lost 11-4 to Clay last Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Flyers have suffered against the Panthers since April 28, 2021.

St. Joseph Central saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wesley Neal, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Neal is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Evan Aldridge also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Green came out on top against Eastern on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run second inning. The Bobcats never let the Eagles get on the board and left with a 9-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Bobcats, who have now won six contests by nine runs or more so far this season.
Landon Kimbler was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Smith, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Green's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for St. Joseph Central, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. St. Joseph Central has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Green struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
St. Joseph Central suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Green in their previous meeting on April 10th. Can the Flyers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
