The Sheets Memorial Christian Eagles can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They secured a 49-44 W over Mount Calvary Christian. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Sheets Memorial Christian also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Sheets Memorial Christian found their leader in underclassman Finn Everhart, who scored 21 points along with eight steals. Jude Howell was another key contributor, scoring five points along with ten steals.
Sheets Memorial Christian's victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-17. As for Mount Calvary Christian, they dropped their record down to 1-11 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sheets Memorial Christian will take on Greater Vision Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Sheets Memorial Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Thursday. As for Mount Calvary Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Calvary Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
