Basketball Game Preview: Station Camp Bison vs. Gallatin Green Wave

Station Camp is 8-2 against Gallatin since December of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Station Camp Bison are taking a road trip to square off against the Gallatin Green Wave at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Station Camp is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They walked away with an 84-72 win over Springfield on Tuesday. Given the Bison's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 127th, while the Yellow Jackets are ranked 306th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Station Camp's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Seth Bailey led the charge by dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten boards. With that strong performance, Bailey is now averaging an impressive 8.1 rebounds per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Thurston, who went 6 of 7 on his way to 16 points in addition to eight assists and three steals.

Meanwhile, Gallatin posted their closest victory since December 12, 2023 on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 53-50 win over White House-Heritage. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Green Wave.

Gallatin pushed their record up to 7-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 17 points. As for Station Camp, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Station Camp didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Gallatin in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 51-45 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Station Camp since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
