Baseball Recap: Riverside Now 6-1 over Last Seven Games

Riverside won the last time they faced South and things went their way on Monday too. The Beavers blew past the Rebels 10-2. The result was nothing new for the Beavers, who have now won six matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Riverside got a great performance from Ethan Hay as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Hay has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Lelynd Chapman was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Kalb, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Riverside is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for South, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-13.

Riverside has already played their next game, a 21-0 victory against Brush on the 13th. As for South, they will take on Beachwood at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
