Football Recap: Bixby Skates Past Choctaw with Ease

Bixby put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their game with ease, bagging a 57-7 win over the Choctaw Yellowjackets. That's more bragging rights for the Spartans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bixby to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carson Kirby, who threw for 200 yards and four TDs while completing 86.7% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave Kirby a new career-high in passer rating (166). Jayson Moll handled things on the ground, rushing for 95 yards and two rushing touchdowns.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Bixby, adding 11 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Nathan Gonzalez, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Bixby's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Choctaw, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Bixby has already played their next matchup, a 66-35 win against Jenks on the 26th. As for Choctaw, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 40-29 victory against Piedmont on the 26th.
