It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Slaton Tigers can now relate to. They took a serious blow against Shallowater on Friday, falling 52-0. Slaton has not had much luck with Shallowater recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Leading Shallowater to victory were Kouper Boyd and Clayton Vincent. Boyd rushed for 191 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.0 yards per carry, while Vincent rushed for 80 yards and four touchdowns on only six carries.
Slaton's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Shallowater, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-5.
Slaton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Shallowater will square off against Clyde at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
