After three games on the road, Wisner-Pilger is heading back home. They will take on the Howells-Dodge Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
While Wisner-Pilger couldn't quite beat West Point-Beemer on Saturday, the three-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 34-point loss they were dealt on Friday. Wisner-Pilger fell just short of West Point-Beemer by a score of 47-44. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Wisner-Pilger has suffered yet this season.
Meanwhile, Howells-Dodge didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Tekamah-Herman on Friday, but they still walked away with a 39-33 victory.
Jade Bayer was the offensive standout of the contest as she scored 12 points.
Wisner-Pilger has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Howells-Dodge, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-5.
Wisner-Pilger came up short against Howells-Dodge in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 42-38.
