Last Thursday, Rutland faced the Bulldogs in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Rutland walked away with a 55-43 win over the Bulldogs. 55 seems to be a good number for Rutland as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Even though Mount Anthony has not done well against the Bears recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Mount Anthony came out on top against the Bears by a score of 63-54. The score was all tied up 26-26 at the break, but Mount Anthony was the better team in the second half.
Rutland is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Mount Anthony, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-9.
Rutland strolled past the Patriots when the teams last played back in January by a score of 66-47. Will Rutland repeat their success, or do the Patriots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
